Honored at the Williamson College of Business Administration Alumni Banquet are Ashley Basile Oeken, Robert DiRusso, Patricia Mishic, and Mitchell Joseph.

CoorsTek Chief Commercial Officer, Patty Mishic was recognized October 27th at the Williamson College of Business at Youngstown State University (YSU) Annual Alumni Banquet for Outstanding Business Alumna of 2017. Marketing professor Kendra Fowler presented the award to Patty, who was also congratulated by University President Jim Tressel and Dean of the College, Betty Jo LaCotta. Governor John R. Kasich officially recognized the outstanding alumni achievements with a proclamation on behalf of the State of Ohio to each of the award recipients.

Patty was recognized for her leadership and business achievements in her professional career with CoorsTek, Dow Chemical Company and A. Schulman; as well as the leadership roles held in non-profit organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America Regional Council Board of Trustees, Board member of Zonta International, Saginaw Future, Inc. Task Force Member, University of Akron college of Business Administration Marketing Advisory Board member and the University of Akron Office of Advancement Branding Advisory Committee. Patty was one of four alumni receiving this distinction, and joins an esteemed group of business colleagues before her.

Patty graduated from YSU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Industrial Marketing. She also holds an MBA from the University of Akron and has completed the Babson College and IMD Executive Management and Entrepreneurial programs.

The college founded the Alumni Awards in 1997 to establish an annual tradition of honoring alumni who personify the college’s tradition of excellence. The award recognizes notable and accomplished alumni who have excelled in their career and community contributions and who embody the values and spirit of the university. Youngstown State alumni remain involved and active with the university and form an extensive external network that benefit both current students and recent graduates.
