Dr. John K. Coors Receives ACerS Medal for Leadership in the Advancement of Ceramic Technology
He is recognized for his substantial contributions to the success of CoorsTek and support in expanding the frontiers of the ceramics industry
Golden, Colo. – CoorsTek, a global leader in advanced ceramics manufacturing, is honored to announce that Dr. John K. Coors, director and chairman of the board for CoorsTek, is the recipient of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) Medal for Leadership in the Advancement of Ceramic Technology.
The Medal for Leadership in the Advancement of Ceramic Technology recognizes individuals, who through leadership and vision in an executive role, have made substantial contributions to the success of their organization and in turn have significantly expanded the frontiers of the ceramics industry. The medal was presented to John at the ACerS Awards Banquet at MS&T on October 15, 2018.
John began his career at CoorsTek as president in October 1998. During his tenure, the company has grown to become the world’s largest engineered ceramics manufacturer — serving more than 10,000 customers worldwide. John has endeavored to make the world measurably better not only through business and technology, but through family, scholarship, and philanthropy.
