Important Change Coming In 2025...

What is changing?

We are switching from Aetna to UnitedHealthcare (UHC) for the CDHP (consumer driven health plan) and Bronze medical plans effective January 1, 2025.

If you do not make any changes all current benefits will continue to 2025 with UnitedHealthcare replacing Aetna.

Why are we making this change?

As medical costs continue to rise, we have to ensure we continue to provide the best value of medical care and costs to employees and the company. Moving to UHC allows for deeper network discounts and prevents cost increases on claims and employee premiums. The CoorsTek medical plan is self-insured and self-funded. This means that while Aetna currently manages the provider contracts and pays the medical providers, CoorsTek reimburses Aetna for all claim costs. UHC has better provider contracts and therefore costs will be lower.

2025 Benefits

CoorsTek is committed to your health and wellness—mind, body, and spirit, and provides a complete benefits package for you and your dependents. We encourage you to evaluate and select benefits that suit you and your family's needs.

All regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll in benefits. Regular, part-time employees working 24-29 hours per week are eligible to enroll in Medical, Health Savings Account, and the 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan.

You may only make enrollment changes during the year if you have a qualifying “change in family status.” To change your benefits, log on to Workday, select the Benefits App, select Change Benefits.

You will find specific directions under Workday Help, Change Benefits. You will need to provide proof of the change, such as a marriage certificate or record of birth. A birth certificate is not necessary to add a newborn to your plan - your documentation can be added at a later date.

You must complete the benefit change within 30 days of the date of the change in family status.
