Golden, Colorado, USA, March 21, 2016 — Paving the way for the next generation of breakthroughs in engineered ceramics, CoorsTek is investing $120 million to create a new Center for Advanced Materials in Golden, Colorado. This investment will support the rapid development of new materials — helping CoorsTek technology and manufacturing customers solve their toughest challenges with the high-performance properties of advanced ceramics.
The CoorsTek Center for Advanced Materials will be a modern facility which combines brilliant minds and the tools needed to foster this innovation:
- A state-of-the-art research and development hub outfitted with leading-edge equipment to develop innovative ceramic materials and processes for a variety of next-generation applications,
- A sophisticated analytical laboratory to provide the most comprehensive ceramic analyses available, and
- A world-class materials manufacturing facility enabling swift commercialization and volume production using the latest technologies in advanced ceramic processing.
