Technical Ceramic and Cermet ICD Flow Orifices
Cermet Inflow Control Devices
Downhole production equipment often uses Inflow Control Devices (ICDs) to control the production of gas and fluids. ICDs are exposed to harsh conditions of impingement wear from fluids and gases with solids. The hardness and abrasive wear resistance of technical ceramics and cermets make them ideal materials for this application.
CoorsTek provides ceramic and cermet flow orifices separately or as ceramic-metal subassemblies. CoorsTek ceramic-metal subassemblies are made to our customers’ design and use shrink-fit or interference-fit technology to secure and support a ceramic or cermet orifice inside a metal component. Using CoorsTek’s technical ceramic or cermet orifices will extend equipment life, lower total cost of operations, and reduce non-productive time.
