CoorsTek to Present State-of-the-Art Igniter Portfolio at AHR
Golden, Colorado, USA ─ CoorsTek, a world leading technical ceramics manufacturer and long-time expert in ceramic igniters, will present its portfolio for hot surface ignition (HSI) at AHR 2019, booth B2975. The AHR show takes place in Atlanta, January 14–16, 2019.
At AHR 2019, CoorsTek presents a family of ceramic igniters offering different ranges of style, durability, and speed to ignition temperatures. The CoorsTek igniter portfolio leverages strong material properties, including low porosity, high operating temperatures, and corrosion resistance.
The portfolio consists of three types of igniters:
Traditional ceramic igniters are alternatives to spark igniters. CoorsTek silicon carbide igniters have become an industry standard for gas heating systems.
"Our heater igniter family has been developed with an optimized ceramic composition to maximize strength and reliability while minimizing heating time," said Dean Croucher, Director of Sales Household Durables. "The unparalleled possibilities of ceramics enable us to supply state-of-the-art surface igniters for a wide variety of ignition systems and address the needs of leading control manufacturers worldwide."
In addition, the company will present Infracer™ ceramic plaques which are configured for high precision gas distribution. Each plaque has inherent thermal and chemical properties making them ideal for consistency and long use life. The unique surface profiles are optimized for the most efficient combustion, letting the gas burn cleanly and thoroughly. The ceramic plaque applications include room and radiant heaters, camping grills, water and central heating boilers, and glass-ceramic cooking tops.
With over 100 years of experience, CoorsTek thoroughly understands ceramic materials, process development, and manufacturing methods. The company’s strength lies in the ability to take customers' ideas from concept to creation, providing assistance at each step.
